Last week my brother Benjamin Rosenthal and friend/collaborator Alex Romania stayed at my house as we work shopped the third part of Benjamin's Self Portrait series. On February 16, 17th, and 18th Ben will return to Austin and we will be scheduling appointments to share all three pieces: Mirror, Table, and Tent. Feel free to send a message through the contact form if you are interested.
In the world of graduate school I have settled into a new play development class devising with Hannah Kenah, a performance art lab lead by Michael Smith, and a performance theory heavy cultural studies course. On Fridays I am also teaching devising techniques as part of "Performance as Collaborative Practice" to a group of 60 B.A. theater and dance students. Whew! I haven't been able to enjoy it yet with all of these health issues, but I think this semester will allow me to focus much more on creative projects.
Speaking of creative projects ...
Nobody Knows, the podcast I have co-created with Morgan FitzPatrick Andrews, continues. Each morning I received a question from a listener, in the afternoon I record the answer in one take as spiritual teacher "Nobody," and in the evening I send the recording to Morgan for editing. You can subscribe to Nobody Knows on iTunes, Stitcher, or Google Play.
If you're in Philadelphia on February 16 or 17, you can hear every episode of Nobody Knows (including several not yet released!) in a cozy come-and-go setting with tea and treats as part of the 14th Annual Fun-A-Day Art Show. The event is free and features work by more than 50 artists working in every medium.
