I was in Paris, Florence, Bologna, Venice, and finally Edinburgh, Scotland for the Festival Fringe. I also turned 30 while I was abroad. And maybe I am in the midst of a existential crisis?
I brought Ursula Invents Old Woman to the Festival and had a great time performing the piece in the afternoon before cramming as much theatre as I could into the rest of the day. All in all I saw a little over 20 shows in 6 days. Some amazing work, the highlights of which included:
An Oak Tree
The Encounter
887
Hotel Paradiso
The Cherry Orchard
Antigone
Spilikin
Now it's back to work here in Philadelphia just in time for the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, where Lightning Rod Special will be presenting Underground Railroad Game, a piece created by Co-Directors Scott Sheppard and Jenn Kidwell. Tickets are available here!
P.S. For my 30th birthday I'd like long-term financial security, so if anyone wants to give me a present? Or knows of a well paid, flexible, part-time job?
